Butch Cassidy Showing in Movie Theaters

As a special treat for classic movie fans, the western “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” will be shown in select movie theaters across the country on Sunday, January 17 and Wednesday, January 20, 2016. The show times are 2:00pm and 7:00pm local time.

Even though we have big screen televisions at home, there’s still something special about going to see a movie at a theater. The whole experience of going out, getting popcorn and enjoying a film on the silver screen is not easily duplicated at home.

To bring back this wonderful experience for classic film fans, Turner Classic Movies has teamed up with Fathom Events to show classic movies in theaters once again. The series is called “Big Screen Classics” and every month, from January to December, 2016, a famous classic film will be shown in select movie theaters across the country.

We are excited that the first movie to be shown this year is the classic western “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

This western is truly one of the great ones. It is based on the true story of legendary western outlaws Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid (although some creative license was taken) and was a big hit at the box office in 1969.

This is a rare opportunity to watch this great western in a theatre near you.
