Congratulations to Kevin Costner for winning a 2013 Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Miniseries. Costner received this coveted award for playing patriarch Anse Hatfield in the highly-acclaimed western “Hatfields & McCoys.”

Last year Kevin Costner also won the Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Miniseries for the same role, thus making this Golden Globe Award his second major acting award for “Hatfields & McCoys.”

“Hatfields & McCoys” is a six hour, three part miniseries about the legendary feud between the Hatfield and McCoy families. This western debuted on the History Channel in May, 2012 and broke audience records. A staggering 14 million viewers watched the show’s finale, making it one of the most-watched cable programs ever.

It has been over 20 years since a western actor has won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Miniseries. The previous winner, Robert Duvall, won the award in 1989 for “Lonesome Dove.”
